The right to vote is more than a right. It’s a solemn obligation for every citizen and the linchpin of our democracy. Sadly, there are all too many obstacles to voting under normal circumstances. These are exponentially greater amid the pandemic that has befallen our nation.
That is why we have made the decision to close DKC on Election Day. We want each member of our team to have the time to vote free from the pressures of the typical work day.
I call on other leaders across the Public Relations and Advertising industries to join with us and close on Election Day as well. It is essential our colleagues not have to choose between their professional obligations and their right to participate in the most essential and powerful expression of democracy.
